Luck of the Irish

My favorite day of the year is quickly approaching--THE ST. PADDY'S DAY PARADE AND AFTER-PARTY ON GREENVILLE AVENUE!  There's just something about daytime debauchery with a bunch of good friends on a Texas spring day that makes me one happy girl.

Although I do look forward to the day itself, I have to admit that I have a wee bit of fun planning my look.  I don't have a lot of green in my closet, so each year requires a special shopping trip for my St. Patrick's Day jaunt.  Here are some pictures of years past:

I love getting all dressed up and glamorized in green.  This year I've chosen two beautiful eyeshadow shades from Urban Decay, Chronic and Mildew, as well as one of their green 24/7 eye pencils.  I had a pedicure yesterday and decided to have my toesies painted in this cute OPI color, Jade is the New Black.  My feet look appropriately festive and fun!

Trying to decide what to wear is a whole other ballgame.  There are so many cute options.  Since the weather should be nice, I'm hoping I can swing a jean skirt.  I don't normally condone shopping at Old Navy, but they have some great choices for St. Paddy's Day and they are cheap, which is perfect for a one-time wear.  Here's the look I'm thinking of for Saturday.

I hope everyone has a wonderful St. Patrick's Day and, for those of you who are lucky enough to attend, a wonderful Saturday on Lower Greenville!  I can't wait and I hope to see you down there.  I'll be the girl in green with the green Jell-O shots...

  1. Super cute ideas! Where do you find your inspiration? Im bad at putting together outfits that look complete. I love shopping but have a hard time not lookikng hodgepodge or too matchy matchy. What did you end up wearing? Did you go with what you posted? I rocked my True Religion mini skirt and green tank with a totally fab necklace; felt so sexy! And got tons of compliments...thanks for the ideas!
